Research Engineer

What you will do

Depending on one's background and interest, a research engineer may work on one or multiple of the following areas:

Work alongside with quant researchers and contribute to our cutting-edge research infrastructure
  • Investigate research methodologies for data analysis, statistical inference, machine learning
  • Implement research tools and frameworks to make our quantitative analysis workflow more robust, automated, scalable
Enhance our automated trading framework
  • Develop tools for portfolio construction, risk monitoring and trade execution analysis
  • Develop critical high performance trading engines and supporting infrastructure
What we look for
Required:
  • Intellectual curiosity and integrity
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (C++, Python, and R)
  • Experience with scientific computing and algorithm development
  • Proficiency or strong interest in building robust and efficient software
  • Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in R or Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn) is a plus
  • Knowledge in Databases (PostgreSQL, etc.) and NoSQL alternatives (MongoDB, etc.) is a plus

Note: background in finance is not a requirement. You will pick them up as needed.
